Vitamin D3 has lots of benefits. It's suitable for adults, babies and infants, osteoporosis and bone health, teeth, skin rashes, immune system, rickets, depression, hormones gums, and further medical uses.
What is Vitamin D? Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is also known as the sunshine vitamin as the human body can manufacture it when exposed to sunlight. Well known for its role in regulating calcium levels, Vitamin D is now attracting attention for its other roles and benefits to the body. These include regeneration of the immune system, brain function, cellular health, cardiovascular health, muscle function and an anti-inflammatory action.
Vitamin D deficiency is common in the UK because of our distance from the equator and dietary intake is often low, with oily fish and eggs being the main sources. Researchers now believe that higher levels of Vitamin D3 are required as a daily intake to receive optimal benefits and to maintain an adequate blood level. What this level is depends on personal lifestyle and health needs but general all round use for adults tends to be around 1000 iu with many people however believing still higher levels are needed to maintain a proper balance. Vitamin D also contributes to normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus and the maintenance of normal levels of calcium in the blood.
SUGGESTED USE:
As a food supplement for adults, one (1) tablet daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Do not exceed directions for use.
